Test your agent’s actions.
Free, on your machine.

The Mac app and CLI run locally and do not need an account. Run a supported agent workflow, find where it can break your rules and keep the check for the next release.

Releases

Newest first. To install, see Install below or the install guide.

Latest Geometer 0.1.0-alpha.2Checks agents built with Python and Node frameworks, and tries them against simulated services through MCP.

What changed

  • More agent frameworks, each marked on the Works with page.
  • geo mcp wrap and try: your agent against simulated Stripe, Shopify, Salesforce and more.
  • Docker setup offered where you are, after asking first.
  • Honest results: an agent that never ran says so, and geo ci exits 3.

Needs Docker. The first check downloads a few hundred megabytes.

Requirements

  • macOS on Apple silicon with Docker Desktop or Colima, or Linux x86_64 or arm64 with Docker Engine and its compose and buildx plugins.
  • About 2 GB of free disk for container images and records.

Known limits

  • Not signed by Apple yet: macOS asks you to allow the app once (see Install below).
  • No Intel Macs or Windows. On Linux there is no app window: the workspace opens in your browser.
  • Guard is for trying in development and staging; it is not qualified for production traffic.

Check your download

A matching SHA-256 digest shows the file is the one published, unchanged. Download SHA256SUMS into the same folder as the file, then:

macOS

shasum -a 256 -c SHA256SUMS --ignore-missing

Linux

sha256sum -c SHA256SUMS --ignore-missing

One file by hand

shasum -a 256 Geometer-0.1.0-alpha.2-macos-arm64.dmg

Each line should end in OK. This alpha is not signed by Apple, so the digest is how you know what you have.

Install

The Mac app

  1. Drag Geometer from the disk image to Applications and open it.
  2. This alpha is not signed by Apple yet, so macOS refuses it the first time. In System Settings, Privacy & Security, click Open Anyway. Once per version.

Or in Terminal:

xattr -dr com.apple.quarantine /Applications/Geometer.app

The terminal, macOS or Linux

curl -fsSL https://geometer.dev/install.sh | sh

It picks the build for your computer, checks its SHA-256 and installs geo for your user, with no administrator rights. Read the script. Then geo open opens the workspace in your browser.

Linux CI

docker run --rm --network host \
  -v /var/run/docker.sock:/var/run/docker.sock \
  -v "$PWD:$PWD" -w "$PWD" \
  ghcr.io/geometerlabs/geo:0.1.0-alpha.2 ci

Runs your kept checks. The exit code says whether one broke.

Installed? Open Geometer, choose your project folder and run your first check.

Start with the quickstart

Use it from your coding assistant

Say “check my agent with Geometer” in Claude Code or Cursor. You get a three-line answer and a link to the board, and you confirm anything that changes your project. It runs on your machine, with no account. How to use it

Claude Code (geo mcp install --client claude-code prints this):

claude mcp add --scope user geometer -- /path/to/geo mcp serve

Cursor (geo mcp install --client cursor prints this), in ~/.cursor/mcp.json:

{
  "mcpServers": {
    "geometer": { "command": "/path/to/geo", "args": ["mcp", "serve"] }
  }
}

On your computer

  • Your agent runs in Docker containers on your machine. Outside services are simulated.
  • It changes your files only when you keep a check, under .geometer/regressions/.
  • “Under the hood” shows its processes, containers and network activity.

Inspectable verification

Check Geometer’s records with an open-source verifier.

The verifier and the schemas of the records it reads are open source under Apache-2.0. Build it and check any pack or certificate Geometer gives you. It checks integrity, not whether a certificate is right.

Open the verifier repository

Rust 1.96.1. The browser verifier on /verify uses an earlier snapshot: its source and SHA-256 checksums.

git clone https://github.com/GeometerLabs/geometer-verify
cd geometer-verify
cargo build --locked --release -p geo-verify
